Golf on Mahé and Praslin

A 18-hole award-winning golf Championship course is located at the Lemuria Resort on Praslin Island, approx. 2km far from the local Airport, the area of golf greens covers about 5500 sqm. The well equipped course has lakes, bunkers, terraced greens over viewing three beautiful beaches arrangements and is made for all skill levels from beginners to professional golfers. Designed by Rodney Wright and Marc Antoine Farry this 70 par course is the only 18-hole golf course in the Seychelles. Golf equipment can be rented, playable all year round. On Mahé, there is an very nice 9-hole golf course situated within an old coconut plantation. We recommend to have your play during the early morning hours or during late afternoon. Nature Walk at Vallée de Mai

The gem of Praslin Island and the most beautiful nature reserve on earth. A gorgeous place for a relaxing walk in a primeval palm forest and a rare opportunity to discover the world famous coco de mer. The nature reserve is located at a valley in the centre of Praslin National Park. This area on Praslin has been untouched until the 1930s the impressive palm forest is host for the famous endemic Coco der Mer which is the largest nut ever found. You will also see the endemic black parrot which completely relies on the Vallée de Mai forest. Plenty of photo opportunities and must see!

Go Swimming

It is very easy to find one of the many pristine white powder sanded beaches and step straight into the warm crystal-clear water have a relaxing swim or just float and enjoy the view.


There are many very good spots for snorkelling easily reachable from the beach, that’s perfect for beginners. You will see a verity of different colourful tropical marine animals like parrot fish, butterfly fish, trigger fish, moray eels, ray fish and sea-turtles too. Good spots are always around rocks and coral reefs. We suggest that you bring your own snorkel gear and recommend to buy a Silicone mask. If you are late, some souvenir shops on the islands are selling masks and snorkels, you can rent snorkel gear from the skipper when you do a boat trip.

Scuba diving

Diving in Seychelles waters is impressing. The water temperature of the Indian Ocean reaching 28 degreed Celsius and with visibility generally exceeding 30 metres around the islands make it the perfect environment for scuba diving. You can hire a boat and discover the best diving spots around the islands. The full range of PADI courses for beginners are available, dive equipment is available at most of the Dive Centres. Best time is March to May and September to November.

Game Fishing

Seychelles is an all-year round game fishing location with more than 300 species of marine life existent in the area. A huge number of record-breaking dog-tooth tuna have been fished here, as well as huge Marlin, Sailfish and Sharks. Further to that you can fish for Bluefin Travelly, GT, Bonito, Yellow Fin Tuna, Wahoo (King Fish), Barracuda and Dorado. You can rent a boat with a skipper and do some trolling and bottom fishing. Equipment can be rented. Best time is from October – April.

Whale Shark Watching

The Underwater Centre Seychelles is closely cooperating with the local Whale Shark Monitoring programme of the Marine Conservation Society. You can join the whale shark tagging team and assist with the programme during your stay in the Seychelles. From September to October you can watch the sharks from one of the boats or by snorkelling. Each boat takes 14 passengers only 7 snorkellers are allowed in the water at a time.

Yacht Charter and Cruising

You can hire boats, yachts and catamarans with skipper for your very own private pleasure and cruise trip. You can discover areas which can not reached by land or set sail and visit another island. The boat charterer will arrange for a individual trip.

Car Cruise

If you are an explorer, hire a car on Mahe or Praslin and cruise along the coast roads and visit all the famous beaches and sightseeing spots on Mahé or Praslin at your own pace in a hired car.
