All wedding certificates come with an Apostille, this means that the marriage is a legal document in all member countries of the Hague Apostille Convention. Therefore, please check in advance if your country of residence is a member of the Apostille Convention. List of Apostille member countries.

In case your home country or country of residence is not a Hague Convention member, the wedding certificate must be attested by the nearest embassy or/and a Letter of Authentication from the Seychelles Foreign Ministry must be obtained.

An Apostille is a form of authentication that documents can be used in countries that participate in the Hague Convention of 1961 to simplify the legalization of documents to verify their authenticity, in order to be valid internationally.

French nationals wishing to get married in Seychelles must follow different procedures, please contact your local municipality or the French Embassy in Mauritius.

We need them at least 12 days before your wedding date. If you like to marry spontaneously, we need the documents at the very latest 5 days before your wedding date, an extra late filing fee of 50€ applies.

When you arrive in Seychelles you should have a set of hard copies of all documents with you.

Usually, rain in Seychelles is strong and short, after 15 minutes the sun is back. In case of a rainy day, we have to discuss with the registrar and postpone the wedding ceremony. Also good to know, that rain showers more often occur in the afternoon.

It is nice to get married here around midday when the sun is bright. Also, the late afternoon around the golden hour can be nice as colors get more vibrant and warm.

Yes, you can invite guests to your beach wedding. Please tell us how many guests will attend your wedding. The fee per guest is 15 EUR. Due to changing COVID19 regulations, always ask for the latest regulation. Find our wedding packages here and the special packages for UAE/GCC residents here.

If possible, we recommend packing the dress professionally and carry it in your hand luggage, trolley, or similar – in case your checked luggage gets lost and the arrival is a delay, you have your dress for the wedding day.

Ceremonies are conducted by the Registrar from the Civil Office in accordance with Seychelles Law because this ensures your wedding is completely legal.

All official wedding ceremonies will be conducted in Creole, English, or French language.

The civil wedding ceremony will last for approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

Two witnesses above the age of 18 years are mandatory to be present throughout the proceedings. Also, you can bring your own witnesses or we provide two witnesses for your ceremony free of charge.

The marriage certificate with Apostille will be produced within 3-4 working days after the civil ceremony. However, for couples on a short stay, we can send the wedding documents to their home address by DHL/FedEx courier service with tracking. For UAE residents, always ask for the actual processing time.
