Seychelles Wedding Planner
We are a local team based in Seychelles. Mireille has been planning weddings in Seychelles since 2014, from barefoot beach ceremonies for two to celebrations with family and friends from across the world. We know the beaches, we know the registrars, we know which permits take three days and which ones take three hours. That knowledge is what you are hiring when you work with us.
Planning a wedding from abroad is genuinely harder than planning one at home. You are dealing with a country you may have never visited, authorities who operate under different regulations, and vendors whose quality you cannot assess from a laptop in Dubai, London, or Berlin. The couples who arrive most relaxed are the ones who handed the planning to someone on the ground early and focused on the trip itself.
Packages from €1,090. All formalities included. We reply within 24 hours.
What your wedding planner handles
When you work with us, here is what we take off your plate completely:
- Submission of your documents to the Seychelles Civil Status Office and management of the 11-day registration process
- Booking the official Civil Status registrar and confirming the ceremony time
- Securing your beach location and any required venue permits on Mahé, Praslin, or La Digue
- Setting up the ceremony: flower arch or bamboo pavilion, aisle decoration, reception table
- Arranging complimentary witnesses if you are travelling without guests
- Coordinating your photographer on the day
- Obtaining the apostille from the Seychelles Supreme Court after the ceremony
- UAE and GCC couples: managing the full UAE registration process in cooperation with the UAE Embassy in Seychelles since April 2026. You receive a confirmation email that your marriage is registered in the UAE. Nothing to do on your side after you land.
- Shipping your completed certificate to your home address by DHL if you leave before the process is complete
- Accommodation advice and hotel bookings if needed
- Transfers to the venue for you and your guests in air-conditioned taxis or minibuses
- Bridal hair and makeup at your hotel on the morning of the ceremony
What you handle: gathering your documents at home before you travel, booking your flights, and arriving in Seychelles.
How the planning process works
Planning from abroad: what couples tell us
Most couples who contact us are planning everything remotely. They send documents by email, choose their package online, and arrive in Seychelles having done very little except book flights and pack. That is the design.
The question we get asked most often by first-time enquirers is: how do we know you are real and that this will actually work? Fair question. Our answer is always the same: read the reviews, contact us with your specific situation, and judge the response.
We have helped couples with complicated document situations, last-minute bookings, mixed-nationality marriages, and everything in between. If something is possible, we will tell you. If something is not, we will tell you that too.
Last-minute weddings: yes, we can do it
If your timeline is short, contact us before you book flights. We have organised ceremonies with as little as 48 hours notice. Whether it works depends on registrar availability and document readiness, but it is often more possible than couples expect.
For very short timelines, a special marriage licence is available from the Civil Status Office: issued within 2 working days for a small fee. This bypasses the standard 11-day document submission window. We manage the application for you.
If you are based in the UAE and flying in for a short trip, the direct Emirates and Etihad flights from Dubai take 4.5 hours. Many couples fly in on a Thursday, marry on Saturday, and fly home on Sunday with their apostilled certificate in hand.
Additional services
Entertainment
Add a live musician to your ceremony playing Sega and Moutia, the traditional Creole music of Seychelles. Sega is upbeat and celebratory. Moutia is slower and more ceremonial. Both are specific to these islands and something you will not hear at any other wedding destination in the world.
Bridal hair and makeup
We arrange a professional bridal stylist at your hotel on the morning of the ceremony. We work with stylists who understand how to work in tropical heat, which is a more specific skill than it sounds. Foundation that holds in 30°C humidity is different from what works in a studio in London.
Transfers
We arrange licensed air-conditioned taxis and minibuses for you and your guests to and from the ceremony venue.
Vow renewals
Already married and want a romantic beach ceremony in Seychelles without the paperwork? We arrange symbolic ceremonies and vow renewals at the same locations and with the same setup as a legal wedding. No documents required. Popular with couples celebrating anniversaries and with families who want to share the moment with children or parents who could not attend the original ceremony.
Island-specific coordination
We plan weddings on all three main islands: Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue. Each island has its own logistics, its own permit requirements, and its own beaches. We know which beaches hold the best light at 16:00, which ones are sheltered from the southeast trade wind in June, and which ones are consistently free of seaweed in October.
Frequently asked questions
How far in advance should we book?
8-12 weeks is ideal for most couples. It gives you time to gather documents, get apostilles sorted, and submit everything with time to spare. For last-minute bookings, contact us directly. We will tell you honestly what is achievable with your timeline.
Do we need to visit any government offices in Seychelles?
No. We handle all submissions and in-country paperwork on your behalf. You do not visit the Civil Status Office, the Supreme Court, or any other government authority during your stay.
Can you help us find a hotel?
Yes. We work with a selected range of hotels, guesthouses, and resorts across Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue at all price points. We can recommend options that suit your budget and your preferred location relative to the ceremony venue.
What happens if our documents are not in order?
Tell us before you travel. Missing or incorrect documents are the main reason weddings get delayed, but most situations are solvable if we know about them early. Contact us with your specific situation and we will advise you on the fastest path forward.
Can we get married on La Digue or Praslin instead of Mahé?
Yes. We plan weddings on all three main islands. Ceremonies on Praslin and La Digue require that you also have your hotel on Praslin or La Digue.
What is included in the package price?
All packages include the registrar, beach location, ceremony setup, photographer, apostille, and all government fees. Bridal bouquet and wedding cake are included from the Classic package. There are no hidden charges. See our full packages here.
Is the Seychelles marriage certificate valid in my country?
Yes, in all 124 countries that have signed the Hague Convention. The certificate is issued in English with an apostille from the Supreme Court. UAE residents additionally need an embassy stamp, which we arrange. For countries outside the Hague Convention, a MOFA authentication is required, which we also manage.
What if we can’t get an apostille before the wedding?
You can still get married. An apostille confirms your certificate is ready for use abroad, but it isn’t a requirement to hold the ceremony itself. If your home country’s process is slow, unavailable, or you simply run out of time before travelling, we go ahead with the wedding as planned and arrange the apostille afterwards at the Seychelles Supreme Court. Most competitors don’t offer this flexibility because they don’t manage the apostille process locally. We do it as a standard part of every package.
How quickly do you respond to enquiries?
Within 24 hours on weekdays. If you send a message on a Friday evening Seychelles time, you will hear from us by Monday morning at the latest. For urgent last-minute enquiries, WhatsApp is the fastest channel: +248 276 8356.
