The marine research program “WiseOceans” was created to bring guests closer to the underwater world. The diversity of marine life in Seychelles is impressive. Getting to know them awakens a passion for the oceans. At the same time, the knowledge imparted deepens the understanding of the natural environment of Seychelles and thus raises awareness for the urgently needed protection of the oceans and their inhabitants.
The research, from monitoring nesting turtles to studying existing coral bleaching, gathers valuable data that is shared with the Seychelles Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, and Energy. This gives a picture of the health of Seychelles’ waters and protective measures can be taken
